Bastrop (USA): Due to a forest fire in the US state of Texas on Tuesday, dozens of homes in the city of Bastrop had to be evacuated. A huge fire broke out at this place about a decade ago. The fire started at Bastrop State Park in the state of Texas. Bastrop’s Office of Emergency Management reported the forest fire at around 2 a.m. Tuesday.

The Bastrop County judge’s office told TV station KXAN that by late afternoon the fire had spread to about 630 acres or about 10 percent of the size of the park. The judge is the highest elected official of the county. According to the county judge’s office, about 30 homes near the park have been evacuated.

A Texas Parks and Wildlife advisory said the fire broke out near a roadway in the park early Tuesday. Officials, however, did not confirm whether the forest fire broke out because of this.
