Five-storey building collapsed in Raigad, 200 people feared buried in debris

Mumbai: A horrific accident took place on Monday in Mahad of Raigad, Maharashtra. A 5-story building collapsed in Mahad. It is reported that more than many people are buried in the rubble of this building. Police and administrative officials have reached the spot as soon as the news of the building collapses. Authorities have started relief and rescue operations.

According to news agency ANI, 3 NDRF teams have been dispatched to the spot.

Maharashtra cabinet minister Aditi Tatkare said, more than 200 people are trapped in the building. 5 local rescue teams are present on the spot. So far 15 people have been saved alive. 4 to 5 more teams have been rushed to the scene. It is being told that 50 families lived in this building. This building is said to be 10 years old.

After getting the information about the building collapse, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has taken information about the situation from the local MLA and District Officer of Raigad.
