In fact, recently, the head of UP, Yogi Adityanath, who has been involved in controversies in many other cases including drugs, Sushant suicide, wants to give filmmakers an option where not only will encourage film production but also provide facilities and subsidies. Will go.
On Tuesday, more than two dozen Waliwood filmmakers held talks with the Chief Minister over the proposed Film City, including veterans like Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Udit Narayan, Nitin Desai, Kailash Kher, Anoop Jalota, Ashok Pandit, Satish Kaushik.
Earlier on Sunday, famous Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the capital and talked about the possibilities of Film City. Before Madhur Bhandarkar, Bollywood actor and MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishan, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, singer Anoop Jalauta and famous actress Kangana Ranaut have welcomed the plan to build a film city in Uttar Pradesh.
On Tuesday, talking to the filmmakers, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that there is no place of imperfection in Uttar Pradesh. Nothing incomplete happens here. This is the land of Ram’s Ayodhya, Krishna’s Mathura, Shiva’s Kashi as well as Buddha, Kabir, and Mahavir’s. There is a confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. These are all ‘symbols of perfection’. Uttar Pradesh will give a gift to the world by giving impetus to this tradition, by developing a grand, divine, and well-equipped ‘full film city’ which fulfills your needs.
He said that with a view to promote film production and to provide special opportunities to local talent, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to establish Modern Film City and Infotainment Zone in the state. He said that it will be our endeavor to develop it as the best-dedicated infotainment zone. The time to come is OTT and media streaming. For this, high capacity, the world-class data center will also be established in the infotainment zone.
He said that we are considering the smooth and flower-proof arrangement for content distribution as well as the facility of tax execution. With the cooperation of all, this film city will take shape soon.
At Tuesday’s meeting, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several cine personalities, CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, Arunveer also made a presentation regarding the proposed Film City. He told that it will be developed on about 1,000 acres of land in Yamuna Expressway Sector-21. Of this, 220 acres will be reserved for commercial activity. It is 60 km from Mathura-Vrindavan and 100 km from Agra.
Here, along with the infrastructure required for Film City, they will also develop Film City Park on 35 acres. The region is well connected by rail and road transport. Asia’s largest jewelry international airport is close by. It will also be ready soon. There are also plans to connect it with the metro, rapid rail transport system, and a high-speed train.
Talking to the Chief Minister, filmmaker and Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya said that there is still no animation industry in India. It has a big impact in today’s films. If there is an effort in this direction in UP, then there will be a great convenience. Anupam Kher said that UP’s film city will be in UP but the whole world will consider it as their own. Chairman, National School of Drama, Paresh Rawal said that if Yogi ji makes any effort in writing the film screenplay, it will help a lot. It will also prove to be a revitalizing dimension to regional cinema.
