New Delhi: The historic Ramlila Maidan in Delhi is once again the focal point for a large-scale farmers’ protest. Today, on March 14th, the ground resonates with the voices of farmers gathered for a significant Mahapanchayat. The United Kisan Morcha has mobilized farmers, predominantly from Punjab, to voice their concerns and demands in the nation’s capital.

Delhi Police Sets Conditions for Peaceful Assembly
The Delhi Police has sanctioned the Mahapanchayat at Ramlila Maidan, stipulating that participants arrive via buses and trains rather than tractors and trolleys. A maximum of 5,000 attendees are permitted, and the farmers have agreed to disperse promptly after the event concludes at 2:30 pm. Authorities have warned that any deviation from the agreed terms or disruption of public order may result in stringent repercussions.

Anticipated Traffic Disruptions in Central Delhi
In anticipation of the Mahapanchayat, extensive security measures are in place, and significant traffic congestion is expected throughout the capital. Commuters are advised to avoid routes leading to Central Delhi. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), spearheading the farmer organizations, intends to pass a resolution at the gathering to escalate their campaign against the government’s agricultural policies.
