Chandigarh: The Haryana Police released tear gas shells on Sunday evening near Masani Dam in Rewari district on a group of farmers going towards Delhi. The farmers first broke the police barricades near Budhla Sangwari village and then in the evening they started moving towards Delhi. Police said that they have been camping on the service lanes of the Delhi-Jaipur highway for the last few days.
An official said that when the group of farmers reached Masani Dam, the police released tear gas shells to disperse them. Police had barricades on the dam. Rewari Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jorwal told over the phone that we have stopped them (farmers) on Masani.
