Iran: Iranian authorities have arrested famous actress Taraneh Alidoosti. He has been accused of spreading lies about the nationwide protests. Government media reports that Taraneh Alidosti, the actress in the Oscar-winning film ‘The Salesman’, has been arrested.
He recently supported a man who was sentenced to death for crimes committed during the nationwide protests. In his support, the actress posted a post from her Instagram account. A week after which he has been arrested by the Iranian government. According to a report published on the official Telegram channel of the government media, Taraneh Alidosti did not provide any documents to support his claims. After which he has been arrested.
Not only this, but media reports also stated that several other Iranian personalities were also summoned by the judiciary body for publishing inflammatory material. 38-year-old Taraneh Alidosti said in his post, ‘His name was Mohsin Shekhri. Every international organization that is watching this bloodshed and not taking action is a shame to humanity.
It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of the demonstrations in September, Taraneh Alidosti had made about three posts on his Instagram account supporting the protesters. He had eight million fan followers on his Instagram account. However, his Instagram account was suspended.
