New Delhi: The series of earthquake tremors in the country is not taking its name to stop. A strong earthquake jolted the Andaman and Nicobar Islands early this morning. The tremor of the earthquake was of 5.0 reactor magnitude at around 5.57 am. According to the news, this tremor has been felt again in ESE, about 215 km from Port Blair. Sharing this information, the National Center for Seismology said that, earlier at 2.54 am, a tremor of 4.4 magnitudes had also occurred 244 km southeast of Port Blair.
Significantly, earlier on Monday, earthquake tremors occurred in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Indian island of Doda, located in the Bay of Bengal, in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors of these earthquakes were recorded at 4.4 and 3.2 reactors.
Apart from this, if the NCS is to be believed, then earthquake tremors are being felt continuously on this island. People are scared by the tremors of this continuous earthquake. There was an earthquake of magnitude 5.0 at 1.48 pm in an area of 261 km of Port Blair, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake at 2.34 pm, 244 km southeast of Port Blair, 4.4 m at 2.13 am at 251 km NNE of Campbell Bay. In view of the frequent earthquake tremors in the country, the administration has made full preparations to deal with any disaster.
