The highly anticipated song “Ez Ez” (often styled as “Easy Easy”) from the film “Dhurandhar” has officially dropped, instantly trending on social media as the film’s definitive “gangster anthem.” The track features a powerhouse collaboration between Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh and viral rap sensation Hanumankind, known for his global hit “Big Dawgs”. The music, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, is complemented by hard-hitting lyrics penned by Raj Ranjodh and Hanumankind, adding a gritty edge to the film’s soundscape.
Ranveer Singh, who stars in the film, shared the song on his social media, calling it “The Biggest Collab of 2025”. In the video, Ranveer appears in a lethal action avatar, gunning down adversaries with a chilling smile while his facial expressions shift dramatically, showcasing the menacing intensity he brings to his character.
Court Clears Release: Controversy Over Major Mohit Sharma Resolved
“Dhurandhar” faced significant legal hurdles just days before its scheduled release. The parents of the late Major Mohit Sharma, a decorated Ashok Chakra recipient, filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the film. They alleged that the movie’s narrative, character design, and military setting mirrored their son’s life and undercover operations without their consent.
However, the Delhi High Court dismissed the plea after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the filmmakers clarified that the movie is a work of pure fiction and not a biopic. Director Aditya Dhar, known for “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” issued a formal statement asserting that “Dhurandhar” is not based on Major Mohit Sharma, promising that any future biopic on the martyr would be made with the family’s full consultation and consent.
Censor Board Mandates ‘A’ Certificate and Cuts
Following the court’s directive to consider the petitioners’ objections, the Censor Board granted “Dhurandhar” an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate, making it Ranveer Singh’s first film to carry this rating. The Board ordered several modifications, including:
- Violence Trims: Visuals of violence were deleted or replaced in the opening scenes, and brutal visuals were toned down in the second half.
- Audio Changes: A cuss word was muted, and the name of a minister character was changed.
- Disclaimers: New voiceover disclaimers regarding the fictional nature of the film were added to the beginning.
Despite these cuts, the film’s final runtime stands at a massive 214 minutes (3 hours and 34 minutes), making it the longest Bollywood film in nearly two decades.
