New Delhi: According to the afternoon river news and according to some other media reports, ignoring all the objections of India on Pakistan’s F-16 Maintenance Package, now the US Congress has decided to launch the fighter jet. Approved a proposed foreign military sale worth $450 million for maintenance and services.
In fact, Geo News reported, the US Congress did not object to the proposed sale, paving the way for the package for Pakistan, which was approved by President Joe Biden’s administration last month.
However, according to the rules, approval from the US House of Representatives was required to proceed with the program. According to Geo News, the F-16 package made further headlines following Indian criticism of the deal, prompting a strong backlash from Islamabad, which also urged New Delhi to refrain from commenting on Pakistan-US relations. At the same time, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also defended the military sale, saying that the said package was only for the maintenance of Pakistan’s existing fleet.
Significantly, on October 15, at a program of the Democratic Congress, President Biden said, “I think Pakistan is probably one of the most dangerous countries in the world. A country that is nuclear-armed and at the same time unstable.”
