New Delhi: On Monday, the Delhi High Court sought a response from the investigating agency regarding the bail of co-accused Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain along with Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain arrested on charges of money laundering. Along with Satyendra Jain, co-accused Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain filed a bail application in the Delhi High Court. In this matter, the Delhi High Court has now issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The court has sought a response from the investigating agency on the bail application of the accused from the ED. Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain had filed a bail petition in the High Court.

Significantly, the lower court had rejected the bail plea of Satyendar Jain as well as Vaibhav and Ankush Jain. After this, Vaibhav and Ankush Jain challenged the decision of the lower court in the Delhi High Court. Along with this, a bail application was also filed. The court asked questions regarding the investigation of the case. The court said in which case people are in jail. He is seeking bail. They are demanding their basic right to come out. We also have to look at their rights.

When asked about the investigation, the ED’s lawyer told the court that the investigating officers are coming, and wait for them. On this, the court reprimanded the ED’s lawyer. Also said that you should start the debate till the arrival of the officer. After this ED started the debate. Regarding the investigation of the case, ED said that we cannot say that the investigation in the case has been completed. An additional charge sheet can also be filed in the case.

It may be noted that the ED is probing the money laundering case on the basis of a CBI FIR lodged against Jain in 2017 under the Prevention of Corruption Act. ED has arrested many accused in the case. Jain is accused of money laundering through four companies allegedly linked to him.
