Gandhinagar: The scourge of coronavirus in the country is not going away. The Gujarat government has entered into action mode to deal with this problem. As per the information, a curfew has been announced in Ahmedabad from tomorrow. This curfew will be in force from 9 pm to 6 am. Meanwhile, 900 more beds have been provided for patients in the state.
This decision will take effect from Friday and will continue till further notice. According to the state government’s ACS Rajiv Gupta, the government has taken this decision in view of the increasing number of corona cases after Diwali and the fear of a further increase in winter cases. The curfew will start on November 20. He said that in cities like Ahmedabad, there is a complete arrangement of beds for patients. Stay away from any kind of rumors spreading about it.
Rajiv Gupta informed that a total of 2637 beds for patients are vacant in Ahmedabad at present. About 400 beds are vacant in Sola Civil Hospital. In another government hospital, 900 beds are vacant. Recently 1300 new beds have been provided. There are 300 doctors for corona patients alone.
The condition of coronavirus in the state is not good. Statistics of the Covid 19 India website show that 1 lakh 91 thousand 642 Kovid 19 patients have been found in the state till now. However, out of these 1 lakh 75 thousand 462 patients have recovered and returned home. However, 3823 people have died. The number of active cases in the state at present is 12,357.
Ahmedabad is the most corona affected area of the state. So far more than 46 thousand patients have been found here. Whereas, 1949 patients have died. At present, the number of active cases in Ahmedabad is 3320, and 40753 people have been cured. Surat ranks second in terms of total cases, with a total of 40,390 cases and 871 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases in Surat is 1343. However, Vadodara has more active cases than Surat. There are currently 1677 patients battling corona. However, the total number of cases is 18059.
