Commandant in charge in Guna shot himself with government pistol, wife died 6 months ago

Guna(MP): Commandant in charge of Guna’s 26th Corps, Vijay Soni, committed suicide by shooting himself from a government pistol in his bungalow. He was found sitting in a dead position on a chair and his pistol was lying below. The reason for the suicide is not yet clear. But he was under stress since his wife’s death. Kent police station has started investigating the case.

Deputy commandant Vijay Soni is 60 years of age, originally from Gadarwara-Kareli in Narsinghpur district. He got the charge of Commandant about a month ago. He lived alone in his government bungalow. His wife Sumitra Soni died in February due to illness.

Like every day, Mr. Soni came to the bungalow in his official vehicle at around eight o’clock in the night and the driver left it and went back. After this, at about quarter to eight in the morning on Friday, the employee Rahim Khan arrived with his partner Deendayal to cook food, then saw Vijay Soni sitting in a chair and bleeding here. Rahim Khan informed about this to Steno Nirmal Kumar who lives in the neighborhood.

Subsequently, police officers were told about the incident. ASP TS Baghel, senior FSL officer Dr. RC Ahirwar, CSP Neha Pachsia, TI Yogendra Singh Jadaun and other police forces reached the spot for investigation. The police sent his body to the district hospital for post-mortem. Simultaneously, he established the bond.

The commandant in charge committed suicide by being shot from a government pistol. The reason for this is not yet clear. Investigating the case.
