London: The last rites of Britain’s late Queen Elizabeth II are to be held on September 19, which more than 500 special people are expected to attend. A report said that foreign leaders and their spouses attending the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II have been asked to come by commercial flight and take a bus service to reach the funeral ceremony.

According to a report by news agency AFP, a source in the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office said that around 500 foreign dignitaries are expected to attend the Queen’s funeral. Officials are making massive preparations for the funeral ceremony to be held on September 19. According to the news website Politico, people attending this program have been asked not to use a helicopter or private vehicle to come to Westminster Abbey, but all take the bus service.

This is the first state funeral ceremony since former Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1965. This will be one of the largest security and logistics operations the UK has ever undertaken. During this, thousands of police officers from across the country will be stationed in London to help manage the huge crowd.

British Prime Minister Liz Truss’s official spokeswoman said the minute’s silence would be an opportunity for the nation to mourn and pay tribute to the late Queen. The Queen died on Thursday at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
