New Delhi: Central Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Ram Vilas Paswan has had a heart operation. His son Chirag Paswan gave this information on Sunday.
Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan (74) has been active in politics for more than five decades and is one of the prominent Dalit leaders of the country. He is hospitalized for the last few weeks. He was operated on in a private hospital in the national capital.
Family sources expressed confidence that he would be well soon. Chirag Paswan tweeted, “Father has been undergoing treatment in the hospital for the last several days. Yesterday (Saturday) evening, due to sudden circumstances, his heart had to be operated late at night. ”
Due to this Chirag Paswan had to cancel a party meeting so that he could stay with his father. He said that if needed, another operation will have to be done after a few weeks.
LJP sources said that several leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, spoke to Chirag Paswan to know the ramifications of Ram Vilas Paswan. Chirag Paswan thanked the people for standing with him and his family in this hour of crisis.
