New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied the news related to the cuts in the syllabus of class 10 social science subject. The public relations officer of the board Rama Sharma said that no such decision has been taken.
It is noteworthy that the examination of class 10 social science is to be held on 27 May. It was reported that the board has removed five chapters in the theoretical syllabus of the subject. CBSE has announced the dates of 10th and 12th examinations in the past. Accordingly, the board exams of class 10th and class 12th will start from May 4, 2021 and will end on June 10. This time around 30 lakh students are going to appear in the board examination. These exams will be in offline mode.
However, amid a new wave of Corona, it is feared that the board will be able to conduct the offline examination. According to the Union Ministry of Education, due to the corona epidemic, the school has gone for very few days in this session. Most of the students have studied online.
Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had said that CBSE was advised to reduce and reschedule the syllabus in view of the extraordinary circumstances arising out of the Corona epidemic. After this, CBSE has cut 30% in the courses of various subjects. For this reason certain parts of the syllabus will not be included in the board examination and internal assessment. The principals and teachers of the schools will tell the students about the curriculum cuts.
