New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) directed the schools under it to detect the loss of students’ education in the wake of Covid-19 and take steps to redress it. Also recommended to start the new academic session from April 1.
Conduct exams of ninth and 11th
The board said that only after this, Class IX and 11th examinations should be conducted, and during this time the Covid-19 rescue rules should be fully ensured. CBSE exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said these things in a letter to the principals of the schools.
Bhardwaj said, “Through these examinations, it will also help to find out the damage done to students’ education, which can be taken by the schools in the new academic session. A specially designed bridge course can be resorted to compensate for this loss. “
Schools were closed for several months due to a nationwide lockdown implemented in March last year to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. The students studied through online classes.
Bhardwaj said in the letter that while conducting classes or examinations, measures related to Covid-19 should be strictly followed. It was also said that it would be appropriate that the academic session should be started from April 1, 2021-22, following the instructions of the state government.
