Toronto: Canada on Monday prohibited the introduction of the Covid-19 vaccine (Corona Vaccine) developed by Oxford AstraZeneca to people under 55 years of age. The government took this decision in view of the possibility of vaccine-related blood clot occurs in the people of this age group due to vaccine.

Announcing the postponement of AstraZeneca vaccination program for people in this age group on Monday, it was stated that the National Advisory Committee on Immunization recommended stopping vaccination for safety reasons. Dr. Shelley Dick, Chairperson of the National Advisory Committee on Vaccination, said, “There is considerable uncertainty about its benefits against the potential danger of giving AstraZeneca vaccines to people under 55 years of age.”

The DIN recommends this among data from Europe, according to which the risk of blood clots from the vaccine is estimated in one in every one million cases, much higher than the prediction of one event in every million in the past. He said that most of the people who took the blood clot in Europe, who complained of blood clotting, were women below 55 years and had a mortality rate of 40 percent.
