
Barmer: A major accident took place in the Pachpadra area of the Barmer district of western Rajasthan today. There was a huge collision between the bus and the truck here. On the information of the accident, District Collector Lok Bandhu and Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhargava reached the spot and took stock of the situation. About 25 passengers are said to be aboard the bus. The dead and injured have not been identified yet. The police are trying to identify them.
25 passengers were on the bus
According to the information, the accident happened at around 11.30 am near Bhandiyawas village of Pachpadra police station area of Barmer district. There was a huge collision between the bus and the truck here. Both the vehicles caught fire after the accident. There were 25 passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. On getting information about the incident, the Pachpadra police reached the spot and called the fire brigade, and started efforts to control the fire. After the accident, there has been a long jam on the road. There are long queues of vehicles on both sides.

Face to face collision near Bhandiyawas
According to Pachpadra police station officer Pradeep Daga, the fire has been brought under control. Now the passengers trapped in the bus are being rescued by doing rescue. The bus was going from Balotra to Jodhpur. During this, a truck coming from the front near Bhandiyawas rammed the bus in an attempt to overtake, causing a horrific accident.
Five people were confirmed dead
After getting information about the incident, Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Dr. Rajesh Sharma, in charge of Barmer district Forest and Environment Minister Sukhram Vishnoi and Pachpadra MLA Madan Prajapat reached the spot. He intensified the rescue operation. The injured have been admitted to Nahata Hospital in Balotra. There he is undergoing treatment. The District Collector and the Superintendent of Police have confirmed the death of five people in the accident. Some seriously injured have been referred to Jodhpur.
