Ahmedabad: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday morning caught fish in the Harami Nala creek area along the India-Pakistan maritime border near the Kutch district of Gujarat. Seized nine Pakistani boats. Officials gave this information.
Following the seizure, the BSF has launched a search operation in the Gulf region to find out if any more such boats from the neighboring country have entered Indian waters, he said. BSF’s Gujarat Frontier Inspector General GS Malik told PTI, “During routine patrolling, BSF personnel had sent camera-equipped UAVs (Unmanned Vehicles or Drones) into the sky to get a complete view of the area.
Through UAV, we saw nine fishing boats in the Harami Nala area. BSF patrol boats immediately reached the spot and seized those boats of Pakistani fishermen. He said that no Pakistani fisherman has been caught so far as the people on board these boats may have fled towards Pakistan after knowing about the presence of BSF.
“We have launched a search operation in the creek area after the recovery of nine boats as we think there may be some more boats,” Malik said. It is possible that we may find Pakistani fishermen who infiltrated our waters.” Malik said he had reached Kutch from Gandhinagar to personally supervise the search operation in the creek area after the recovery of the boats.
