New Delhi: The central government has said that the ban on international flights will continue till February 28. The Director-General of Civil Aviation gave this information on Thursday. However, the DGCA said that on a case-by-case basis, the competent authorities can allow flights for select routes.
DGCA says that this step has been taken amid the threat of new strains of the Corona period and increasing cases in European countries. While there is a ban on regular flights, a limited number of flights are being filled through the Vanda Bharat Mission.
Please tell that due to Coronavirus epidemic, regular international passenger airline is suspended from 23 March. However, under the Vande Bharat Abhiyan and air bubble system, special international flights are allowed to operate to certain countries from May. India has entered into an air bubble agreement with 24 countries including the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Bhutan, and France.
Domestic flights operating faster
At the same time, the operation of domestic flights is steadily increasing. Domestic flights operating numbers for Indian carriers have been increased from 70 to 80 percent as compared to the level before the corona. Airlines can operate up to 70 percent of domestic passenger flights as compared to levels before Corona. Domestic operations started with 30 thousand passengers on 25 May last year and touched a figure of 2.52 lakh on 30 November 2020.
