Oslo: Swedish anti-Islam rally demonstrations are now beginning to affect the neighboring country of Norway as well. It is known that the protesters tore copies of Quran, the holy book of Muslims. It is believed that these demonstrations were organized by the Norwegian right wing organization Stop Islamization of Norway (SIAN).
These protesters gathered outside the Parliament building in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, and protested fiercely against the Islamic ideology. The performance lasted for about two hours. The leader of Stop Islamization of Norway, Lars Thorsen, spoke many things against Islam. He spoke now-word about the Prophet, which has caused a sense of Muslim community. In protest, supporters of the organization shouted slogans and sang songs.
Member tore copies of Quran
On the other hand, in view of the protests of Stop Islamization of Norway, its opponents also gathered there but the police stopped them taking immediate action. Due to this, both groups remained far away from each other. Meanwhile, a member of Stop Islamization of Norway took out the Quran and tore copies of it. This was noticed by the Islam supporters on the other side and the protest became aggressive.
After this, Islam supporters broke the police barricades and confronted the supporters of Stop Islamization of Norway. After this there was a fierce fight between the two. However, the police later took strong action and dispersed the protesters. It is being told that one person has been injured in this conflict. Police has arrested a large number of people.
Quran was lit in Sweden
In Sweden, right-wing activists set the Holy Quran ablaze in the southern city of Malmö. Riot erupted after 300 people gathered in protest against the incident. Police said Saturday that the rioters opened fire on Friday and targeted the police and relief service teams in which several police officers were marginally injured. Around 15 people have been detained on charges of rioting. Violence erupted following the incident of the burning of the Quran on Friday afternoon, according to TT news agency reports.
The uproar over the leader’s arrest
Let me tell you, the leader of Denmark’s hard-line banned in the country was not allowed to meet in Malam, and he was stopped at Sweden’s border. The administration feared that his arrival would break the law in Sweden and damage social peace. He was then arrested.
