According to PTI, Federal Security Service (FSB) director Bortnikov said in an interview with Shot Telegram channel, “In fact, the United States informed Russia through diplomatic channels about Biden’s visit to Kyiv.” But we did not give any guarantee of their safety. An American official said that Russia was informed about the visit a few hours before the departure of President Biden. Bortnikov said that the Russian and US special services continue to cooperate, especially in the fight against international terrorism. Biden’s highly secretive visit came after 12 months of Kyiv struggle. Biden has also announced an aid package after meeting Zelensky. He announced half a billion dollars in aid, saying that the package also included more military equipment, including artillery ammunition and howitzers.
