Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura

Local leaders and people of Mathura say that there is no dispute over the birthplace here and some people keep trying to spoil the peace. In Mathura, it has been claimed to take the royal Idgah as Krishna’s birthplace and take it back. However, there is no case in any court in this context right now.

On Wednesday, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, a campaign will be started to liberate it. To run this movement in the name of Krishna Janma Bhoomi Nirman Nyas, the institution has been registered on July 23 on the occasion of Hariyali Teej. The command of the institution is in the hands of Sant Dev Murari Acharya. It is being claimed that more than 80 saints from 14 states of the country have been associated with the trust registered. Dev Murari has called upon saints across the country to agitate for the liberation of Krishna Janmabhoomi.

This movement will be further intensified when the Corona crisis ends, with Krishna Janmashtami starting a signature campaign. The Trust has given the slogan for this that we will build Nandlala, we will come there. It is on the same lines as the slogan given in the Ram temple movement. Kamalakant Upamanyu, who was the vice-president of Mathura Cantt Hoard, says that both sides have already agreed on the land long ago and there is no dispute. He says that some saints coming from outside keep trying to create controversy here but this is not an issue for the local people.

It is important to note that Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath temple along with Ayodhya is already on the agenda of VHP. However, after the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ayodhya issue, both the VHP and the Sangh have not agreed to openly follow this agenda. VHP general secretary Champat Rai definitely visited Mathura a few days ago and understood the situation. People associated with the trust say that initially the Sangh or VHP will not be directly involved in the Krishna Janmabhoomi movement, but only saints will be given its command. Later, a decision will be taken on the response of the public. The VHP believes that Krishna was born on the land of the royal Idgah of Mathura. Just outside this Idgah is the temple of Keshavdev Maharaj, the oldest of Mathura. Protection is available under the Places of Worship Act of Shahi Idgah.
