Yangon: Some members of a faction supporting military rule in Myanmar attacked those opposing military coups in the country, injuring several people. Members of the Association of southeast Asian Nations are appealing to the Myanmar army to relax some to ease tensions. The regional bloc of ten countries believes that negotiating with military officials is a more effective way to reach a consensus than confrontation.
The attackers and the injured can be seen in the pictures released on social media, while the police have stood as mute spectators. In a video that is becoming increasingly viral, a person is being stabbed in front of an office at the intersection of a road known as Sule Pagoda. Nothing has been known yet about the condition of the injured. This incident happened when hundreds of people took out a rally in favor of a military coup.
They held banners that said, “We stand with our defense services”, “We are with the State Administration Council.” The State Administration Council is the official name of the military government. The army overthrew the government on February 1.
