90% candidates appeared in NEET exam amidst strict precaution of Covid-19

New Delhi: With strict precaution in view of the Covid-19 epidemic (Coronavirus), around 90 percent of the candidates appeared for Medical Entrance Examination (NEET) at more than 3,800 centers across the country on Sunday. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) started at 2 pm, but the entrance to the examination centers was started from 11 am. The students were given different timings so that the examination centers would not get crowded and social distance rules could be followed. 15.97 lakh candidates were registered for NEET. This examination has been postponed twice before. The National Examination Agency (NTA) said that attendance for the examination ranged between 85-90 percent. However, official attendance figures have not yet been available. The attendance was 92.9 percent in the year 2019. Central Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ (Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank)’ gave best wishes to the candidates and assured that all arrangements have been made for their safety.

I sincerely thank all the Chief Ministers and the NTA that proper arrangements have been made to facilitate the participation of the students. Participation in NEET shows the tenacity and patience of the youth. ” Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday congratulated the students appearing in the medical entrance examination NEET examination and also expressed sympathy to the students who could not sit in this examination due to the Covid-19 epidemic and floods. Gandhi wrote on Twitter, “My best wishes to the students appearing in NEET exam and my sympathy to the students who could not appear in this exam due to the Covid-19 epidemic and floods.”

This examination was postponed twice before due to the coronavirus epidemic. Despite opposition from the opposition, the government had decided to conduct the examination. The NTA laid down strict standard operating procedures in the wake of the epidemic. The NTA had increased the number of centers this time to 3,862 to control congestion. The number of centers in the year 2019 was 2,546. Neet’s exam was scheduled on May 3, but later the exam was scheduled to be held on 26 July and then on 13 September. Neet exam with safety measures took place from Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. This examination was conducted at 200 centers of the state. However, there were sporadic protests after the alleged suicides of three students. After taking the exam, many students said that the difficulty reduced and in-depth study of the previous year’s questions also worked.
