Cleveland: Nine people were injured in a late Sunday night shooting at a nightclub in Cleveland city of America. The suspected assailant is on the run. Police said preliminary information suggests that a suspected assailant opened fire on a group of people in the Warehouse District around 2:30 a.m. The incident took place at a time when the clubs were closing down.
Cleveland Police Department Chief Wayne Drummond said seven men and two women, ranging in age from 23 to 38, were injured. He has been admitted to the hospital. The condition of one of the injured men is critical while the rest have minor injuries. Officers are looking for the suspect and are scanning CCTV footage installed in the area.
Police said there was no report of any brawl in any of the clubs in the area before the shooting. Mayor Justin Bibb called it a “sad day Stating that it truly illustrates the problem of gun violence not only in Cleveland, not only in Ohio, but across the country.
