New Delhi: The rate of detection of coronavirus in India is declining in India. More than 50,000 cases were found in the country in a 24-hour period from Wednesday to Thursday. However, the death toll still exceeds 500 per day. The number of people recovering from the infection and being discharged is more than 60,000 daily.

Between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, 55,839 new cases were reported in the country and 702 people died. During this time 79,415 people recovered. The Union Ministry of Health (MOHFW) said that 70 percent of the dead were suffering from some other disease. It was stated that the Ministry is comparing its data with ICMR.

Simultaneously, ICMR informed that people were examined on Wednesday after which the total number of sampling has been done till now. The MOHFW reported that there are currently 7,15,812 active cases, 68,74,518 discharged, and 1,16,616 deaths in the country. It was reported that 9.29% of the cases are active, 89.20% of the cases have been discharged or cured while 1.51% of the people have died. At present, a total of 77,06,946 cases of corona have been confirmed in the country.

647 new cases of coronavirus in Jharkhand, two deaths

With the death of 23 more patients of Covid-19 in Punjab, the total number of deaths here increased to 4,060 on Wednesday. With the arrival of 499 new cases of infection in the state, the total number of infected people became 1,29,088.

Four patients died in Bathinda and Ludhiana while three each in Patiala and Amritsar, two each in Jalandhar and one each in Faridkot, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Mohali, and Sangrur. 83 new cases of infection have come to light in Jalandhar while 53-53 cases have come to light in Mohali and Amritsar and 47 cases in Ludhiana. At present 4,808 people are undergoing treatment in the state.

In the state, 562 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering. So far 1,20,220 patients have recovered in the state. 31 critically ill patients are on a ventilator while 121 are on oxygen. A total of 23,85,846 samples have been collected for testing in the state so far.

In Maharashtra, 8,142 new cases of coronavirus infection have come to light in a single day, bringing the number of Covid-19 infections in the state to 16,17,658 on Wednesday. This information was given by a state health official. He said that 180 people died due to the infection in the state, after which the number of deaths due to the corona virus increased to 42,633.

After treatment, 23,371 patients were discharged in a day, bringing the number of people recovering to 14,15,679. 1,58,852 patients are undergoing treatment for the infection in the state.

4069 new cases of coronavirus in Bengal, 64 more deaths
With 4069 new cases of Covid-19 coming to light in West Bengal on Wednesday, the total number of people infected with the coronavirus rose to 333,126. According to the latest health bulletin, 4,739 patients have been cleared of infections in the last 24 hours till 9 a.m. Wednesday. At the same time, the number of people beating Covid-19 in the state has increased to 7,54,415.

According to the bulletin, 27 more patients have died in the last 24 hours, including 6,508 in the state so far.
