New Delhi: Tata Motors launched the Tata Nexon EV in India in early 2020. This car was taken by the customers in India. Currently, this car is the bestselling car in its segment. The company also launched a longer-range model of this car under the name Tata Nexon EV Max, which was very much liked by the customers.
Nexon EV Max was launched by the company with a bigger battery pack. After this Tata Motors launched the Tiago EV. Its price is Rs 8.49 lakh. It is considered to be the cheapest EV in India.
Electric versions of these cars will also come
The remaining existing ICE models like Punch, Altroz, Harrier, and Safari are also expected to get their respective electric variants in the near future. About two and a half years ago, Tata introduced the Sierra as a concept and since then, there has been constant speculation about its return. The Sierra nameplate needs no introduction as it was one of the brands to grow in the history of the Indian automotive industry.
5 Door Premium SUV
Internet reports indicate that the Sierra will return as an electric vehicle and is expected to be based on a dedicated skateboard. It could be a premium SUV with regular five doors and could possibly become the flagship electric vehicle when it arrives. However, customers may have to wait a long time for the launch of this car. Its launch timeline has not been decided yet.
