
Chicago (United States): Two people were killed and 13 others were injured in a shootout at a party in Chicago’s South, US. Authorities expressed suspicion that the shooting took place due to enmity between the gangs. Police Department spokesman Jose Zara said that the personnel reached the ‘Towing Company’ at around 4.40 am local time, where the firing took place. The casualties are between 20 and 44 years of age.

Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt told Shikoga Sun-Times that seven of the injured were in critical condition. The other injured have returned home with their families. The Tribune reported that a woman and a man were found dead inside the building. Authorities have not arrested anyone in the case yet. A medical examination officer said that the two men were declared dead at 4.55 am. Superintendent of Police David Brown, who was present on the spot, said investigators are trying to ascertain the cause of the shootout. Four guns have also been recovered from the spot.
