London: A company director of Indian origin has been imposed an 11-year restriction on operating the firm. Britain’s Remodeling Service found that Preetesh Ladawa (33) had made a false claim to get a grant of around £ 6,35,000 from the Forestry Commission. Ladawa was the director of The Forest Project Limited, which was set up in 2010 to plant new forests.
The Chief Investigator for the Remodeling Service, Rob Clarke, said that Ladava knew while applying for the grant that the company did not meet the criteria for receiving funds.

The ban on Ladawa came into effect on 12 February. This means that they will not be able to conduct the management work of the company directly or indirectly without the permission of the court.
