Ujjain: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Ujjain today to seek blessings from Lord Mahakaleshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. He performed a puja and abhishek at the Mahakaleshwar temple, along with other dignitaries and priests. He was welcomed by the Mayor of Ujjain, Mukesh Tatwal, who presented him with a Rudraksha garland at the helipad.
The puja was conducted by the chief priest of Mahakaleshwar temple, Pt. Ghanshyam Sharma and his associates. Several religious leaders, such as Balayogi Umeshnath, Peer Yogi Ramnath Maharaj, and Gadipati Bhartrihari Cave Ujjain, also participated in the worship. After the puja, the priests recited Swastiva in Nandimandapam for the well-being of the Chief Minister and the state.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee honored Yogi Adityanath by presenting him with a replica of Lord Mahakaleshwar, a shawl, and a prasad. The committee members included Ujjain MP Anil Firojia, Collector Kumar Purushottam, Mahant Vineet Giri Maharaj of Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhara, and Additional Collector and Administrator Sandeep Soni.
Yogi Adityanath also met the Higher Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Mohan Yadav, Ujjain North MLA Paraschandra Jain, and other officials during his visit. He praised the management and maintenance of the temple and expressed his gratitude for the hospitality. He said that he felt blessed to have the darshan of Lord Mahakaleshwar and prayed for the prosperity and peace of the country.
