New Delhi: Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a historic start to his international career. In the Dominica Test against the West Indies, this left-handed batsman scored a century in India’s first innings on the second day. At the end of the day’s play, he had scored 143 not out. Due to this innings of Yashasvi, the Indian team is currently in a strong position in the match.
In the first Test against India, the West Indies team won the toss and elected to bat first. In front of the brilliant bowling of R Ashwin, the Windies team was reduced to just 150 runs in the first innings. After this, Indian opening pair Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a 229-run partnership to give the team an edge. By the end of the second day’s play, India had a lead of 162 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a century in his debut match and now he is moving towards a double century. This youngster has played explosive innings in the last 11 months while debuting in big tournaments like India A, Duleep Trophy, and Irani Trophy. Since then, he has scored two double centuries and three centuries.
