    World Coconut Day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2009. This special day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Asian and Pacific coconut community. The main purpose of celebrating this is to make people aware of coconut cultivation on a world level. Along with this, the coconut industry can be promoted. According to experts, Indonesia produces the largest number of coconuts in the world.

    Coconut cultivation is a popular plantation and is grown in more than 90 countries worldwide.
