New Delhi: Fake news and rumor-mongers are no longer on instant messaging app WhatsApp. This is because WhatsApp has launched a new feature to curb fake news. This new feature is being considered as an important step by WhatsApp, which will be effective in curbing illegal activities on WhatsApp. Earlier, WhatsApp had limited forwarding to stop fake news, and then began labeling it.

The search tool is the name of the new feature launched by WhatsApp. WhatsApp has partnered with giant Google for this feature. WhatsApp has shared information about this in its blog. This feature will work on Android, iOS and Web, all three versions.
If the user gets any news with the link, then a search icon will appear on the right side of the link, where Google will open on clicking and many related links will appear. Through which the user will be able to know whether it is fake news or not. If the WhatsApp team has already fact-checked the related news, then its link will also be available to the user.
Currently, WhatsApp has made this new feature live in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, UK and USA. The company has not given any official information regarding the launch of this feature in India. It is expected that this search tool will be launched in India soon.
