New features keep coming to WhatsApp every day, and now it has been learned that the online messaging app is working on the new feature ‘Approve new participants’. This information has been given by WABetaInfo, in which it has been told via Twitter that WhatsApp is working on a group setting for WhatsApp Beta Android 2.22.18.9, in which group admins will approve new participants. This means that group admins will be able to decide who is added to the group and who is not. Currently, this feature is in the development stage.
Once this feature is released, there will be an ‘Approve new participant’ option in WhatsApp group settings where group admins can accept or reject requests from people who all want to join a particular group.
The report also includes a screenshot showing the new option, so that WhatsApp users can get an idea of what it might look like when the feature is rolled out. It can be seen that by turning on this setting, everyone in the group will be able to add anyone, but who will be an addition, only the admin will be able to approve it.
