
Bhopal: Vaccination Director, National Health Mission (NHM) Madhya Pradesh Dr. Santosh Shukla said on Tuesday that the anti-Covid-19 vaccination of adolescents in the age group of 12 to 14 years will start after March 22 in the state. Apart from this, he said that all the people of the state who are above 60 years of age would be given a preventive dose (booster dose) of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine from March 16.
In a statement issued here, Shukla said that anti-Covid-19 vaccination of boys and girls in the age group of 12 to 14 years in the state would be started after necessary modifications in the Kovin portal. He said that all boys/girls born in 2008, 2009, and up to 15th March 2010 would be vaccinated against Corbivax. For this, proper environment creation and the listing have been started by establishing coordination with the School Education Department.
Shukla said, “Also, after the national level training organized on March 16, 2022, necessary training will be given to all the district, block, and frontline team members by March 22. After this, anti-Covid-19 vaccination of boys and girls in the age group of 12 to 14 years will start in the state.

He said that all citizens above 60 years of age would be eligible for the precautionary dose of anti-COVID-19 vaccination. No medical certificate will be required for this. Shukla said that the precautionary dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be given to the people only after the completion of the period of 9 months or 39 weeks after the second dose. Also, as a precautionary dose, the same vaccine will be given, for which the second dose of the vaccine has been given.
He said that the registration process for the vaccine would be online and on-site as before. Shukla said, “Precautionary doses will be provided free of cost at the Covid-19 vaccination centers operating in all government health institutions.” He said that the COVID-19 positive persons should take precautionary doses only after the completion of three months of recovery.
