Instant messaging app WhatsApp keeps on introducing new features from time to time keeping in mind the convenience of its users. Now WhatsApp has introduced a special feature for its iOS users. Under this, users can join an already running video call. For this, they will not even need to be added on any other user’s behalf. This Joinable Calls feature of the Facebook-owned messaging platform is part of an update being made to provide a better calling experience to the users.

WhatsApp has also released a user interface with the recent iOS beta update. The joinable calls feature has been introduced with WhatsApp beta update 2.21.140.11 for iOS devices. The new user interface is also being rolled out for group calling. According to the report of WABetaInfo, this new user interface will soon be introduced for Android devices as well. With the new feature, the user can join the ongoing video call anytime without requesting to connect with other users.

Option to join via Tap to Join banner
For example, if someone is not able to join when the call is started but wants to join later, they can join the call through the joinable calls or tap to join banner at the bottom of the call tab. Click to join. However, for this, it is necessary to have a group video call. Right now if someone wants to join a running video call, then the other user present there has to add him. There is currently no way to automatically join an ongoing call.

A new user interface has also been launched for calls
WhatsApp has also launched a new user interface for calls in the iOS beta update. This UI is very similar to Apple’s FaceTime app. With the new interface, users will be able to access other options during calls. In the updated UI, WhatsApp is also giving a ring button at the bottom. In the latest WhatsApp beta version, you can join the group call back when it is missed. Right now this feature is being rolled out in the WhatsApp beta version for iOS. It is expected that in the coming days it will also be rolled out for Android beta testers.
