Washington: The tussle between China and America continues. News is coming that America has now banned two Chinese companies. In fact, America has accused China of the forced labor of Uygar Muslims. The US says that China is deliberately persecuting members of these communities in its companies, so the US has banned the products of China’s battery maker Camel Group and spice maker Chenguang Biotech Group. This information has been given by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in a statement.

DHS said in its statement that the products of these two Chinese companies will not be allowed in the country from Wednesday. This decision has been taken in view of humanity as genocide against Uighurs and other religious and ethnic minority groups is taking place openly in Xinjiang. On Tuesday, the Interagency Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force (FLETF), headed by the DHS, added these two Chinese companies to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) entity list.

According to the DHS, these sanctions have a common goal, which is to promote accountability for the ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity against Uyghurs and other religious and ethnic minority groups in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang. But Beijing has rejected the allegations, saying its policies towards Uighurs, as well as other minorities, are necessary to prevent “extremism”.

USA China

China’s treatment of the Uighurs has been one of many points of tension between Beijing and Washington. Even in 2020, America banned 11 Chinese companies accusing China of exploiting Uygar Muslims. US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have so far imposed several sanctions against Chinese companies and government officials regarding the situation in Xinjiang. The US President signed the “Uygar Forced Labor Prevention Act” (UFLPA) in December 2021.
