US bans two UAE airline companies to help Iran

Washington: The Trump administration on Wednesday banned two United Arab Emirates (UAE) airlines. UAE companies have been banned from working for Iran Airlines, a US embargo. Federal prosecutors have filed a criminal lawsuit against one of them for violating the US export control regulation. The Finance Department announced that it was imposing sanctions on the two companies and the owner of one of them, Iran. Companies have been banned from providing components and ‘logistic’ services to Mahan Air of Iran. Restrictions have been imposed on UAE’s Parthia cargo and delta parts supply.

The Attorney Office of the US District of Columbia filed charge sheets against Perthia Cargo and Mahadavi for exporting American aircraft parts to Iran.
