Washington: The United States and South Korea have agreed to a new agreement to share the costs incurred on the presence of US Troops. The presence of US forces in South Korea is considered important to avoid the threat of North Korea’s aggressive attitude. The US State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs said that the spending on part of South Korea has been “increased” under the new agreement.
However, the bureau did not give any detailed information about this. The bureau tweeted that the agreement was finalized and that it reaffirmed the US-South Korean Treaty Alliance “vital for peace, security and prosperity in North East Asia”.
