New Delhi: A distinguished delegation from four of the United States’ oldest and most respected all-girls boarding schools visited Delhi and Mumbai this week, aiming to deepen educational ties between India and the US. The group included school leaders from Dana Hall School (Massachusetts), Emma Willard School (New York), The Madeira School (Virginia), and Westover School (Connecticut), all renowned for their commitment to empowering young women through rigorous academics, leadership training, and global citizenship.

During their visit, the delegates met with students and administrators from seven leading Indian schools. The primary goal was to build connections between Indian and American educational communities and to introduce Indian students to the transformative experience of studying at a US girls’ boarding school.

“Our schools are deeply committed to preparing girls to lead with confidence and purpose,” said one delegate. “This visit is an exciting opportunity to listen, learn, and share what our schools offer young women from around the world.”

The US educators were impressed by the diversity of Indian schools, the engagement of students, and the thought-provoking questions posed during their interactions. While the American schools share core values, each institution brings a unique approach to girls’ education.
