New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the result of the main (written) examination of the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2023, also known as the PCS exam, on its official website. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results and other details on uppsc.up.nic.in.
The main exam was conducted from 26 to 29 November 2023 in Prayagraj and Lucknow for a total of 254 posts of 26 types. Out of the 3658 candidates who appeared for the exam, 451 candidates have been declared successful for the interview round. The interview round will be held for 150 posts, while the remaining 104 posts will be filled based on the main exam only.
The candidates who have qualified for the interview will have to fill and submit their preference form online on the UPPSC website. The date and time of the interview will be notified later. The candidates will also have to bring their original documents and certificates for verification at the time of the interview.
The UPPSC has also clarified that the result of the women candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh is provisional and subject to the final decision of the Uttar Pradesh Government in the special appeal filed in the High Court. The UPPSC will issue a separate release regarding the preference and interview for the posts for which the women candidates have been declared successful.
The UPPSC conducted the preliminary examination of the PCS exam on 14 May 2023, in which 565459 candidates had applied and 345022 candidates had appeared. The result of the preliminary exam was declared on 16 July 2023, in which 3658 candidates had qualified for the main exam. The final result of the PCS exam will be declared after the completion of the interview round.
