New Delhi: The UAE, which is considered a good friend of India, has given a big blow to India. UAE has taken a big step in the prevention of the Corona Virus. UAE has announced to impose a travel ban on many countries including India. Apart from India, the UAE has announced a travel ban on countries like Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Namibia, and Zambia. This decision of UAE will affect the millions of Indians working there.
Announcement of the ban on travel
According to a report, the UAE’s state-run news agency has made a fresh announcement of banning travel. Under this, the UAE has decided that the country is taking strict measures to avoid corona. The UAE is announcing a ban on travelers from these countries. It has been said by the UAE government that travel restrictions have been imposed on 13 countries including India. It has been said that restrictions have been imposed regarding Corona. Surprisingly, the UAE has imposed a ban on India at a time when the war against Corona is going on in India and the cases of Corona are also decreasing continuously.
Strict rules
The UAE has started enforcing rules for people coming to the country. In a recently issued notice, it has been said that those who have traveled to India within the last 14 days will be given some relaxation in the conditions of coming back to the UAE. Also, those people living in the UAE, who live in India, will be allowed to return to the UAE under the new order after taking both doses of the vaccine. In a statement issued on Sunday, the government said, the restrictions imposed on those who want to travel from India to the UAE will not be relaxed for the time being.
Big blow for India
Millions of Indians work in UAE. UAE is also considered a favorite place for Indian tourists. However, earlier on 7 July, there was news of easing of existing restrictions for passengers. But the new notice issued on Sunday has come as a shock to those who were planning to come to India from UAE for a few days and were waiting for 7th July. Earlier, the UAE had banned the travel of Indian citizens to the UAE in April in view of the increasing cases of corona in India.
About 26 lakh Indians in UAE
According to a report, the total population of the UAE is around 9 million. About two-thirds of the country’s population is migrant. Of these, 26 lakh are Indians. This decision taken recently is being considered as a big setback for lakhs of Indian workers. According to a report by Gulf News, there are 1076 flights every week between India and UAE and the tourism business between the two countries is also growing at a very fast pace.
