New Delhi: TVS Motor Company has recently launched the single-seat version of the TVS Raider sports bike in India. It is now the most affordable version of the Raider as the drum variant has been discontinued. This means that the raider will now come with a front disc as standard. The price of a Raider single-seat is Rs 93,719. The sale of the split seat variant and the top-spec SX variant will also continue. Their price is ₹ 94,719 and ₹ 1,00,820. All prices are ex-showroom.

The split seat and single seat variants are almost identical. There is a big difference in the color and seat design. As the name suggests, the single-seat variant comes with a single-piece seat, which is said to be more comfortable and spacious than the split-seat. This gives more space to the rider and the pillion rider. Apart from this, the single-seat variant will be sold only in Striking Red colour, while the split-seat variant will be sold in Fairy Yellow, Blazing Blue, Striking Red and Wicked Black. The top-end SX variant is offered only in Fiery Yellow and Wicked Black color schemes.

The new variant gets disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The single split variant uses a downtube frame with telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. The raider weighs only 123 kg and has a ground clearance of 180 mm. It comes with 17-inch alloy wheels shod with tubeless tires. In terms of features, the Raider is equipped with single-seat LED lighting, helmet attention indication, side stand cut-off, under-seat storage, a USB charger, and an LCD screen.
