New York: Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg has stated that US President Donald Trump’s post will be removed if he violates company policies concerning hate speech and false information. .

Facebook has taken several steps to stop the propaganda from its platform before the presidential election to be held in the US on November 3. These measures include curbing controversial content. Sandberg said in an interview to MSNBC news channel on Tuesday that the company would remove hate speech and false information, even if Trump had posted those posts.
She said, “If the President violates our hate speech standards or gives incorrect information about voters or on the corona virus, those posts will be removed.” Facebook removed a post by the US president last week claiming that the children were almost safe from Covid-19. This post has been marked as ‘spreading misinformation’.
