Often people record the call for their safety or to capture the things of their close ones. But, now he will not be able to record the call. Actually, the popular app Truecaller, which identifies mobile numbers, has announced to stop the call recording service. Now from May 11, users will not get the facility of call recording through Truecaller App. Truecaller has taken this decision under Google’s new policy.
Google has said to stop accessing the API from May 11. Be aware that many call recording apps use the same API for recording. After this action by Google, Truecaller is removing the call recording feature from its app. Truecaller has said that, as per Google’s new developer program policy, we will no longer be able to provide a call recording facility. Truecaller says that it has introduced call recording for all Android smartphones based on user demand and it is free for all.
What is the reason?
Actually, Google is changing its policy and for this reason, third-party call recording apps are being shut down. Google has said that under the new policy, app developers will not be given Accessibility API for call recording. The app will also stop working as soon as this feature is turned off. Under the new policy, the call recording app on the Google Play Store will become useless. Once this feature is turned off, all recording apps including Truecaller, Automatic Call Recorder, and Cube ACR will not be able to work and this policy will be implemented from May 11 this year.
The facility will not be closed for these people
On the other hand, if your Android phone has a call recording feature by default, then you do not have to be disappointed. You can do call recording. Google says that the pre-loaded call recording app or feature does not require Accessibility API permissions. This feature is present by default in Google Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus, and Xiaomi smartphones.
