Ujjain: In a tragic incident, an old wall near the Bada Ganesh Mandir, located in front of the Mahakal Mandir, collapsed on Friday evening. The accident resulted in the death of two individuals and left ten others injured. The heavy rains that lashed the city not only caused the wall to collapse but also hampered rescue operations.

Incident Details:
The collapse occurred at the old wall of Maharajwada School, situated near Bada Ganesh Mandir, in front of Gate No. 4 of Mahakal Mandir. Most of the injured were vendors who sell worship materials in front of the temple.

Immediate Response:
Upon receiving news of the accident, the administration, police, and officers from the temple management committee swiftly arrived at the scene to commence rescue operations. Despite the heavy downpour, the injured were evacuated and transported to the district hospital by ambulance. Unfortunately, two of the injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
