New Delhi: Tikri, Singhu, and Ghazipur border will remain closed for traffic on the borders of the national capital due to the agitation against the Central Agricultural Laws. The Delhi Traffic Police tweeted, “Tikari border is closed for both ways, Jharoda Kalan border, Auchandi border, and Hirwali are closed for both traffic.”

Other boundaries including Sinhau, Piau Maniyari, Saboli, and Mungeshpur border will also remain closed, while Lampur, Safiabad, Singhu School and Palla toll tax limits are open. Appealing to people from other borders, the police said, “Ghazipur border is closed for both traffic which is Ghaziabad to Murg Mandi and Ghazipur R / A, Roadway 56, Vikas Marg, Anand Vihar, IP Extension, NH Rides through 24.

Police officials advised people to follow the COVID-19 protocol and asked to wear masks on the streets and to clean hands repeatedly at appropriate time intervals.

Three newly enacted agricultural laws: Farmers Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; Farmers have been protesting on various borders of the national capital since 26 November last year against the Farmer Empowerment and Protection Agreement on Price Assurance and Agricultural Services Act 2020 and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
