Guinness World Records (GWR) has given information about this old dog by sharing a post on Instagram. This dog has set the record for the longest life.
According to the official website of GWR, the Chihuahua breed dog TobyKeith in Florida is 21 years old and 66 days old. This dog has been called the world’s oldest living dog. The owner of this dog, Gisela Shore, is a resident of Greencross, Florida, USA. Gisela told that Tobykith is a very cute dog.
Sharing the post, GWR wrote, ‘Oldest living dog Tobykeeth – 21 years 66 days old.’ According to GWR, Gisela Shore adopted this dog from an animal center when he was a few months old. Since then Tobykeith has been living with them and he is now 21 years old. She reported that she was volunteering at Adams Animal Rescue when one of the employees told her about an elderly couple planning to have a puppy. On being asked the reason, he was told that they could no longer take care of the dog.
After which Gisela Shor met the elderly couple. Where the elderly couple introduced him to a small Chihuahua and they adopted him. This dog was initially named Peanut Butter. But, he later changed the dog’s name to Tobykeeth. Be aware that the average life expectancy of a Chihuahua breed dog is 12 to 18 years.
