
Delhi: How dangerous is the excessive use of plastic for all of us. This thing is not hidden from anyone. Due to plastic, we have to face so many disasters like floods. The government also keeps taking strict steps to stop all these. Moving ahead in this episode, the government has prepared an action plan against single-use plastic in the country.
Actually, the Central Pollution Control Board has made a strict rule to ban single-use plastic. He has clearly said that if anyone uses or sells single-use plastic from July 1. So strict action will be taken against him and he will have to pay a hefty fine. This time along with the rules, an app has also been prepared. Through which any person can register his complaint.
CPCB has also released a list of single-use plastics. This list includes all those single-use plastic items. Which is completely banned from 1st July.

- candy stick
- plastic sticks of balloons
- earbuds with plastic sticks
- plastic flags
- ice cream stick
- plastic cup
- plastic packing material
- plastic invitation card
- cigarette packets
- thermocol
- plastic plates
- Plaster and PVC banners (less than 100 microns)

Penalty for use of single-use plastic
According to the instructions issued by the CPCB, if a shopkeeper is caught using single-use plastic for the first time, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 500, for the second time 1000, and for the third time, he will have to pay a heavy fine of Rs 2000 as well. Penalties will also be imposed at the institutional level. At the institutional level, a fine of up to Rs 5000 will be imposed in the first instance, 10,000 in the second, and up to Rs 20,000 in the third instance.
